80% of the jobs arriving in the county paying more than $35,000 a year require some sort of post-secondary certificate or degree, and just 38 percent of residents have that level of education. This means that Hamilton County jobs are not going to Hamilton County residents. Brent Lambert believes that in order for Hamilton County to grow and continue to attract new investment and new job opportunities, it’s time to re-evaluate our schools.
To guarantee our next generation has a bright future and that Hamilton County will have a growing job base, Mayor Lambert believes we should take a critical look at our education system from the ground up. It’s necessary to be critical and cut unnecessary spending and move those funds to programs like our community school model that is flourishing with success stories.
